As a toastmaster for the last 14 years, I always enjoyed being a team member. My servant leadership journey started as Sergeant @ Arms, VPE & President of my home club Cosmos. Served as the first Governor of Area 70 during 2010-2011, as Division F Governor during 2014-2015, Program Quality Director of District 79 during 2017-2018 and again as VPE of Cosmos TMC last year.

During my journey, my strength and confidence always have been in building, trusting, delegating and empowering teams maintaining transparency and upholding integrity there by yielding excellent results under challenging conditions. I enjoyed being just a strong link among them. I never believed in individual performance. Division F was chosen as the sole best Division under combined District 79 of Saudi Arabia and 7th in the whole world on overall performance rating during 2014-2015, and Excellence in Program Quality award for District 79 from TI for 2017-2018 were pleasing results by trusting and empowering the team.

Why I come forward as a candidate for District 79 Directorship now? Answer: Why to lose another golden opportunity to serve toastmaster members, to convert their individual dreams into wonderful realities and create positive member experience for each of them? Why can’t I be a servant to uphold our CORE values, continue to RESPECT members, never to compromise on INTEGRITY, keep SERVICE as top priority and make EXCELLENCE as our regular habit.

Program Quality Director

“The key is not the will to win. Everybody has that. It is the will to prepare to win that is important.”

I believe in preparing well for whatever I undertake to do, whether it is at work, home, or Toastmasters. When I forayed into contesting for Program Quality Director, I prepared myself for it. I’m well aware of the responsibilities of Program Quality Director, which are basically twofold, help achieve Educational Goals of the members & Training Programs for Division, Area & Club leaders. To achieve these important goals my theme is Empower, Engage, Evolve, and it is interwoven with Toastmasters core values of Integrity, Respect, Service & Excellence.

I am a strong believer that Teamwork makes Dreamwork. Every time as a leader I had built a strong team which helped achieve its purpose, besides, it also helps in grooming future leaders. I intent to do the same in the role of Program Quality Director, create a strong team that will help District and each member of District 79 achieve their goals. As Toastmasters we all have a common goal, to lead with purpose and to speak with passion. I also practice transparency in all my endeavors. I firmly opine that transparency makes one accountable. Transparency and accountability serve as a reminder to the leader to stay focused on the goal.

Dear Leaders of District 79, I will Empower, Engage, Evolve you all with Integrity, Respect, Service and Excellence. And for that I look forward to your support.

Being a passionate toastmaster for 23-years, I have played a pivotal role in formation of district 79. As a Chartered-Member, mentor and Past-President, I have been instrumental in Taj Toastmasters club achieving President’s distinguished status several times. My toastmastering journey is star studded with leadership roles (past Division-A and Area-4 governor, chief judge at district level and Division-A-2002 evaluation contest winner). The pinnacles of my leadership efforts were accomplished in 2009 when Mr. Vikas Jhingran, WCPS-2007 was invited to Division-A conference and my struggle for reinstating Districtlevel evaluation contests turned successful.

I practice and preach a philosophy of inclusive growth, wherein I grow by growing my team and organization. My 3-point objectives for the position of Program Quality Director of District-79 (PQD-79) and a member of district leadership council (DLC-79) will be to EMPOWER, EDUCATE & EXCEL. EMPOWER every club, area and division with a focus on quality. EDUCATE every member on PATHWAYS and achieve sufficiency. EXCEL together as a district and reclaim pristine glory.

As a Certified Public Accountant from California Board of Accountancy, I stand by my word.

As your PQD, I Care for Integrity Commitment Accountability Respect an Excellence. I care about your PROGRESS in PATHWAYS, I care about your QUEST for QUALITY, and I Care about your DESIRE to DEVELOP. I assure you that I shall be your PERFORMANCE QUOTIENT DRIVER.

With the help of our leaders & able to charter a new club & became First Area of Division F to achieve president distinguished area status that year.

I am currently serving District 79 as Division F Director & we are 1st Division of District 79 achieved President Distinguished Status. This year with the encouragement of my supporters and mentors, I have decided to serve our District 79 as Club Growth Director for the term 2021-2021 and I am confident that if elected I will serve our members and our District with greater zeal & raise District 79 to a greater new height.

I strongly believe leadership is about service to others and service has no limit. When I joined Toastmasters in 2016, I thought Toastmasters was one of the places where can I spend some time as it helps me in building network. But over the time, I have realized the real potential of Toastmasters. Its not just helping or improving the public Speaking skills. Actually, it gives a platform where you can try all the skills whichever you want to improve in your career, sometimes in personal life too.

It improves the self-confidence, Leadership skills and so on. I have nominated myself for the Division Director (Division N) in the 2021-2022 year because I wanted share the knowledge and experiences I have gained in this platform and most importantly I wanted to give back to Toastmasters.

I have worked in various leadership positions of club, area and division and district. This year I have been serving as Assistant Program Quality Director for Division N. I have always been a proponent of the saying that “If a window of opportunity appears ,don’t pull down the shade” and dint err in this motto, when the time was ripe to offer my candidature for the upcoming election for the position of Division O Director.

The past six years of my association with Toastmasters has been a highly enriching one as it opened new vistas to me, both at a professional and personal level. The various leadership positions I took in Toastmasters, at the grass root level and across a broader spectrum, has transformed me to muster up the courage to take up more and more challenges. Apart from this, my twenty five years of professional experience in Sales & Marketing, with several countries in the Middle East , has not only enhanced my business acumen but also exposed me to different cultures , through which I could enhance my networking and interpersonal skills. I am quite confident that these learnings and expertise, will go a long way in keeping up the rich legacy of Division O, if elected, with your precious votes. Division O is a home to different cultures, working in unison towards a common goal and this is what make this division a unique one. Maintaining Unity in Diversity, with unabated commitment is the key to keep up the flag of Division flying high and I am soliciting your valuable votes to make this possible.

“I never Dreamed about Success, I worked for it”. I strongly believe that Vision Without action is daydreaming, and action without vision is a nightmare.

We all made our Toastmasters journey for a reason to learn and serve. I also want to give back to the toastmasters fraternity and society, what I have learned from Toastmasters during my journey since 2014. As the Division Director of outstanding Division-O my primary intention is to revive all the clubs in the Division. As of this year I have been serving as Assistant Director Program Quality for Division “O” and “F” both. I am not only aware of the current situation of all clubs in Division-O, their shortcomings and strengths but also as a part of the most successful Team of Division “F” in District 79 for 2020-21, I have both a Vision & action oriented approach. In addition, my former experience as successful area director of the year 2019-20 among 61 areas, for which I have been recognized with “Area Director of the Year Award”, demonstrates that I had built a strong team which helped achieve its purpose and marked its presence & accomplishment. I intend to do the same in the role of Division Director, to develop a strong team, grow them as team builders who will help clubs and each member of Division to achieve their goals and promote Toastmasters core values of Integrity, Respect, Service & Excellence.
