CANDIDATE FOR DISTRICT DIRECTOR
مرشحي منصب مدير القطاع
T.M Turki Al-AlHareth, a motivated and passionate member – as district leaders told me.
I joined Toastmasters to develop my skills. I learned a lot directly from seasoned leaders, who helped me to build and refine my personality and support in my leadership paths. This inspirational works lead my desire to give back this favor to our district.
I hope to serve our district’s members as a son of the Saudi Arabia, harnessing my experiences in the field of leadership and development that I gained since 20 years, in the field of business and volunteering. Adding what I learned in the Toastmasters, to expand our clubs with CGD to reach more government sectors. In addition, to ensure with PQD that all members have equal opportunities to learn, benefiting and growing. Moreover, I will help to overcome the obstacles that facing our members with all my love, passion, and enthusiasm with the next district team.
I care for you because I am a one of you, and I serve you because you deserve the best.
Please vote for me to be the next Sector President 79 guarantees a better future for Toastmasters in this country.
As a toastmaster for the last 13 years, I always enjoyed being a team member. My servant leadership journey started as Sergeant At Arms, then VPE and President of my home club Cosmos. Served as the first Governor of Area 70 during 2010-2011, as Division F Governor during 2014-2015, Program Quality Director of District 79 during 2017-2018 and currently again serving as VPE of my home club.
During my journey, my strength and confidence always have been in building, trusting, delegating and empowering teams and yielding praiseworthy results under challenging conditions. I enjoyed being just a strong link among them. I never believed in individual performance. Division F was chosen as the sole best Division under combined District 79 of Saudi Arabia and 7th in the whole world on overall performance rating during 2014-2015, just because of this team work. Excellence in Program Quality award for District 79 from TI for 2017-2018 was yet another pleasing result by empowering the team.
Why I come forward as a candidate for District 79 Directorship now? Answer: Why to lose another golden opportunity to serve toastmaster members, to convert their individual dreams into wonderful realities and create positive member experience for each of them? Why can’t I be a servant to uphold our CORE values, continue to RESPECT members, never to compromise on INTEGRITY, keep SERVICE as top priority and make EXCELLENCE as our regular habit.
I would love to remain a humble servant to take our District 79 to greater heights.
Toastmasters made me who I am today: a leader who breaks barriers and builds bridges. During my Toastmasters journey, I gradually climbed up the ladder, serving this global organization as a successful club officer, mentor, club president, club coach, club sponsor, area director, division director, CGD and PQD. Yet, before all of that, I was a member of a Toastmasters club. Thus, with a heart filled with gratitude, I appear before you as one among you, seeking your support not to win an election but to sustain a district “together”.
Toastmasters District 79 has witnessed vigorous changes in recent times, on par with the economic, technological and social dynamics in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the world. Especially with the organization’s booming adaptation of “virtual presence”, it now demands innovative strategies and novel leadership concepts. As a business analyst by profession, a holder of two master’s degrees and an advocate of creativity, I look forward to offering the district the prolific leadership it needs as “District Director”.
Imagine a district where every member’s voice is equally heard. Imagine a district where Integrity, Respect, Service and Excellence thrive. Imagine a district where creativity paves the way to achievement and achievement to sustainability. This is my “vision”, a diligent promise. Let us together SEEK for new dimensions that can augment the existing traditions, SERVE this fraternity as brothers and sisters and SUSTAIN this glorious District, keeping its extraordinary qualities alive.
Your brother for District Director,

Anan Mohammed Salem, DTM
President of Rehab TM’s Club
Being a passionate toastmaster for 23-years, I have played a pivotal role in formation of district 79. As a Chartered-Member, mentor and Past-President, I have been instrumental in Taj Toastmasters club achieving President’s distinguished status several times. My toastmastering journey is star studded with leadership roles (past Division-A and Area-4 governor, chief judge at district level and Division-A-2002 evaluation contest winner). The pinnacles of my leadership efforts were accomplished in 2009, when Riyadh Toastmasters were reinvigorated by first time organizing the visit of Mr. Vikas Jhingran, WCPS-2007 to Division-A conference with nominal fee & creating financial surplus, and my struggle for reinstating District-level evaluation contests turned successful.
I practice and preach a philosophy of inclusive growth, wherein I grow by growing my team and organization. My 3-point objectives for the position of Club Growth Director of District-79 and a member of district leadership council) will be to RETAIN members, RAISE membership and REINFORCE club-growth. I shall endeavor along with the PQD to improve club quality so that no member is lost. To encourage new members I will inculcate the Guests game, wherein guests are invited to meetings and benefits of Toastmasters are highlighted. I have begun my field-work on identifying potential cities/towns in Saudi Arabia, and strive to have one new TM Club in each of these locations.ated
As an American CPA, I stand by numbers. As your CGD, I assure that I will complete my tenure with more members and clubs than what we started with and never less.
In this midst of crisis, I wish everyone is safe and healthy. The journey of Toastmasters remains an amazing experience. Despite the adversity we face, we continue to connect, grow and build a strong camaraderie.
Since I joined in 2014, I continuously learn from the new experiences I face, which opens my eyes to seek and find positivity and opportunities within challenges and unknowns. You poured a lot of wisdom and values in my life in which I become more passionate to be a servant leader in Toastmasters community.
Armed with the lessons and experiences I gained from you, I’m willing to take my service one step forward, to serve the District as Club Growth Director and help in reaching everyone in and out of Toastmasters to learn and gain the values of this program.
I believe our District has a lot of potentials that we didn’t discover yet. Together, let’s work and bring out the best for our district.
Thank you so much.

Engage, Enable and Empower
In today’s world, engagement plays a vital role be it at the workplace, service organization or even in personal lives. Engaging people is one of the crucial tasks as most of organizations fail in doing that. As the research organizations outlined in their survey results, highly engaged people deliver their best and contribute to the success at large. Since I am an HR professional and understand this term very well and also the impact that the highly engaged people can bring on to the table. As a leader of the division, I strongly believe that the primary responsibility is to engage its members by continuous and improved communication, enable them through different learning interventions and thus empower them to take additional responsibilities to grow in their professional and personal lives.
In light of the above, my interest lies in serving the district as the Division N Director and help every member of the division and the district at large to grow and find the real meaning of being a toastmaster as I see that we have huge potential in the district and just need some one to guide them through to the right direction.
Thanks and Regards,
