One of the best feelings about being a Toastmaster is the feeling of belonging to one big family. District 79 is indeed one big family. We are friends working together to help each other succeed, and in the end we will be able to celebrate our successes together, inshaAllah.
It is my greatest honor to serve you as your District Governor for the year 2012 - 2013. My vision for the District is not only to continue to support you in your journeys towards achieving President Distinguished status, but also to transform our district towards becoming a leader on the cutting edge of technology.
As we move forward in the coming months, I will be at your service and I wish you all the best of luck in reaching your personal goals. I also want you to know that all the leaders of the District are here to help and guide you. We have envisioned educational and training programs that will be the beacon of excellence to help ensure quality leadership and service through focused district training using the recommended Toastmaster Leadership Institute (TLI). We are training club and district officers to be better service leaders.
Toastmasters is where leaders are made. With your help, we will continue our tradition of excellence; excellence in service to you, our dear members. We’ll follow the trails and legacy of past district leaders, the trails that made District 79 the outstanding organization it is today. Please step out of your comfort zones and push to achieve your best. When each member becomes distinguished in his or her achievement, it will guarantee that every club, area and division will also become distinguished.
We are the best district in the world. We certainly want to keep this honorable status, as well as actively seek new ways to raise the bar even more.
